Raising the standard of living for local communities within the scope of protection in the project to enhance adaptation to climate change

The project #ECCADP not only protects low-lying areas at risk of inundation, but also works to raise the standard of living of the local communities of the protection areas, and this is by providing decent job opportunities for citizens, especially youth and women, that is why a meeting was held in the General Office of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate for the formed committee to choose the projects that will be completed Its financing will be from the project, and it will be in cooperation with the Misr El-Kheir Association. The committee decided to determine the number of 105 beneficiaries from the following projects: Fishing net spinning. Dairy products manufacturing. Mixing and manufacturing feed. Agricultural spraying motor projects for small farmers. Also during the meeting, the representative of the Desert Research Center presented the models of pilot projects proposed to be implemented by the Center and presented to citizens of the protection community and those wishing to implement them, as follows: Production of modern agricultural greenhouses Cultivation of salt-resistant plants with a modern irrigation system Solar pumping system. Fisheries activity (basa fish hatchery). Recycling agricultural waste (feed processing, organic fertilizers...etc) Azolla production Drying and packing of fruits and vegetables. Beekeeping production
