On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, the Ambassadors Program for the Project to Promote Adaptation to Climate Change in the North Coast and Nile Delta regions of Egypt will be launched. To disseminate the idea of integrated management of coastal zones in its affiliates, to engage in sustainable efforts to adapt to climate changes in the coastal zone on the Mediterranean Sea, under the principles of integrated management among the relevant authorities. (40) participants in the Ambassadors Program were selected according to specific criteria set by the project, and the applicants were selected and nominated accordingly by the relevant authorities, in order to ensure the sustainability of participation in the program, which will extend from July 2023 to April 2024, as the program was designed in cooperation between the project and experts in capacity building, which includes A set of training topics in the field of communication, media and conflict resolution, dedicated to building leading and influential personalities who are able to deal with challenges to activate the principles of participation and integration with partner agencies to achieve the goals of the integrated coastal zone management plan. It is worth noting that the Ambassadors Program is one of the outputs of the capacity building program for the integrated coastal zone management plan for the project to enhance adaptation to climate change in the Nile River Delta and the northern coast, which aims to develop a plan that takes into account various activities in the coastal region based on the latest scientific knowledge, modeling tools and accurate data to support decision-makers. the decision.
