Second Phase of Climate Ambassador Program Concludes, Third Phase Launched

The workshop on "Media and Public Relations Skills" for the project's Climate Ambassadors concluded today, marking the end of the second phase within the capacity building program for the Integrated Coastal Zone Management plan of the #eccadp.
The closing ceremony witnessed the honoring of Dr. Essam Khalifa, President of the Egyptian General Authority for Shore Protection, for the Climate Ambassadors of the second phase, following their completion of a specialized training program that spanned from May to October 2024. The program encompassed various capacity building initiatives and personal development skills for the ambassadors, including presentation skills, conflict resolution, the "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," and ultimately, the development of media and public relations skills.
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali, Executive Director of the project, announced the launch of the third phase of the Climate Ambassador training program, with the participation of 40 ambassadors from agencies involved in coastal zone management. The aim is to expand the network of Climate Ambassadors within the project to disseminate the concept and principles of Integrated Coastal Zone Management to their affiliated executive agencies, ensuring the sustainability of climate change adaptation efforts in the Mediterranean coastal region under the umbrella of integrated management principles.
