In Egypt, the implementation of the blue economy concept is being researched.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of each of H.E. Prof. Dr. Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, and H.E. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, in the presence of the executive leaders of the Ministries of Irrigation and Environment, and with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali CEO of Eccadp. This meeting was held in light of the ambitious vision adopted by the Egyptian government under the patronage of the Prime Minister regarding the implementation of the concept of the blue economy in Egypt. The meeting covered the work of the integrated management plan for the northern Egyptian coasts and its connection to the blue economy. Additionally, it was decided It was also agreed that the project to enhance adaptation to the effects of climate change on the northern coast and the Nile River Delta would be one of the pillars for developing a national strategy for the blue economy.
