ECCADP CEO Meets with Alexandria Port Authority Head to Discuss Coastal Protection and Management

Within the framework of the successive meetings of the #eccadpproject with the coastal governorates, a meeting was held between Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali, the Executive Director of the project, and Major General / Bahri Ahmed Abdel-Maaty Hawash, Head of the Alexandria Port Authority in Alexandria Governorate.
The meeting included the project manager introducing the activities and components of the project, both the first component of protections that were implemented using natural and environmentally friendly methods in 69 km in the governorates of Kafr El-Sheikh, Beheira, Port Said, Dakahlia, and New Damietta. The meeting also addressed the second component of the project, which is the activities of the integrated coastal zone management plan, and discussed ways of cooperation in monitoring, forecasting, and early warning systems that will be established along the Mediterranean coast in the coming months.
