"Towards a More Climate-Resilient Coastal Region in Africa and Egypt"

Recognizing the significance of sustainable development, current global changes, and the vital issues facing humanity, with a particular focus on the developmental challenges in African developing countries and the imperative for their transition towards more sustainable pathways, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali, the Executive Director of the Project for Enhancing Adaptation to Climate Change in the North Coast and Delta regions of Egypt, delivered a valuable lecture entitled:

"Towards a More Climate-Resilient Coastal Region in Africa and Egypt"

This lecture was held within the activities of the comprehensive training program under the title "Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems," organized by the Regional Training Center of the Hydraulics Research Institute under the umbrella of the National Water Research Center.

The lecture was honored by the attendance of fifteen distinguished trainees from sister African countries, who received scholarships provided by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development – Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The list of participating countries included: Zimbabwe, Liberia, Congo Brazzaville, Ghana, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, South Africa, in addition to trainees from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
